I shot this wedding on 07/07/07 in sunny California and it was quite the treat. A beautiful bride and groom, a beautiful day and a beautiful venue made this the BEST 07/07/07 wedding… ever!!!

Dara and Ronnie's Wedding

Dara and Ronnie... wore... me... OUT!! :)

I mean it when I say that I had the GREAT OPPORTUNITY to shoot their wedding last night at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Tukwila. They had a BEAUTIFUL and intimate engagement that I will not forget. I don't mean to place any pressure on my future brides, butI think this is one of my most favorite weddings I've shot to date. Everything about it went perfectly. As a matter of fact, I think both Dara and Ronnie were the calmest people there... AND IT WAS THEIR WEDDING!

Here's a little background:

I used to work with Ronnie at the Guitar Center in Tukwila. I was in operations and he was a sales rep in the keyboard/pro audio department. I KNEW he was talented because everytime a customer came in to look at some equipment, they'd ask for him. He'd "demo" the equipment with his own music, making it that much more appealing for customers to buy the gear and follow their dream in making music. Well, since, I've moved from GC to photography.

Fast forward to last August, I assisted in shooting video for Christine and Ryan's wedding (if you follow my blog, and you should, you'll remember Christine and Ryan from this POST). Ronnie greeted me at the front door of the church. Turns out he was a close friend of theirs! Dara was even Christine's Maid of Honor!! They both performed at their wedding...

So, Ronnie contacted me about a month ago and asked me to shoot HIS wedding. I felt honored!

These two are amazing performers. They're in a group called Groove Edition. Dara also has myspace account (Ronnie was a primary producer - check out the myspace) and her own website. They are AMAZING!

Aside from the funny slideshow, unforgettal first dance and delicious cupcake tree, the best part of the reception was athe non-stop medley!! And they performed the WHOLE time. They got everyone up and dancing NON-STOP. It was great!

I love my job!!!

I'm off to California to shoot another wedding, but I made a secret promise to the couple and myself to get some images up for the world to view. While I'm down there I'll post up more images. I'm currently working on their album, so you won't want to miss that! Keep checking back.

Kristine and Jon Engagement Photos

A wedding in Hawaii?!!!! Yes! I'll shoot it :)

That's kind of how my meeting with Kristine went a few months ago, shortly after Jon had proposed to her…

They are an amazing couple with a lot of love for each other. A great inspiration for all couples out there.

MOSES and I had the opportunity Sunday to shoot Kristine and Jon's engagement photos. Even though, they're getting married next April, they wanted to shoot these photos early so they look "different" the day-of. They're hilarious!





Kristine's a fan (more like a self-proclaimed "stalker" LOL) of my website and visits my blog on a weekly basis. Can you blame her??? :)
With this in mind, I HAD to bring my A-game to the processing table. As a photographer, I strive to shoot, process and post images of my brides and brides-to-be within one week (usually within a few days). This one was no exception. Kristine said that she expected these photos to be online for her and Jon's viewing pleasure. And now they are!

Whitney and Jon's Engagement session

We FINALLY shot Whitney and Jon's engagement photo session this weekend. Prior to this shoot, we had canceled 3 times for one reason or another. It was well worth the wait :)

We're shooting their wedding in less than two months! I can't believe it's coming up around the corner.

These two are amazing individuals with alot of love for each other. They say they don't have ANY photos of them together, so this was a special shoot for them. They were very cooperative and were open to everything we had in mind -- very easy to work with. And, they're hilarious!!! We had a lot of fun doing it.

Aaron Michael Portraits

As promised, here are a few images from the photoshoot I had yesterday with Aaron Michael. He's an up and coming singer I've known now for a couple years. He's been through alot of trials and tribulations in his life that he's quite inspiring in the ways he lets it out on his songs... He recorded the first few tracks of his demo album a few weeks ago and if you follow my blog, you may remember that I had the unique opp to shoot at the studio too (read the story by clicking HERE).

He's a busy individual these days, mostly with producing, writing and composing songs. His demo's due out to radio stations and record labels in the near future. He says he's been waiting for "professional" photos to get his material out there... Now, it's just a matter of time until you hear his voice broadcast out of your speakers.

Jasmine's First Birthday

Oh my! It’s been a year since this beautiful little toddler was born! Remember her? You can check my blog back a year ago by clicking HERE, HERE, or HERE.

Jasmine celebrated her 1st birthday this weekend and it was a blast. She had a Hello Kitty theme and everyone was dressed in pink! I should’ve worn my pink “I’m too cool for this shirt” shirt I bought on clearance for $3!!! But it slipped my mind :)

Dominic, Xzavier and Max

My nephews D, X and Max had their 2nd and 3rd birthday party yesterday and it was so much fun. They had an "athletic wear" theme, so everyone (well, almost everyone) wore jerseys representing their (or their parents) favorite team :)

Xzavier and Dominic were just getting over a cold from the week before, so they weren't really into taking any photos. But Max was fine!!! He was even taking pictures of ME! LOL, can you find him above with his camera? ;)

Regis Hairstylists

I shot my bride yesterday at the Northgate Mall Regis Hair Salon (check them out by clicking HERE) and the stylists were AWESOME! They didn't mind my camera in their faces and were cooperative all morning long. Here's a little teaser to this weekend's wedding :)

They are turning 3 and 2 respectively at the end of the month and their mothers wanted just one current 2007 photo of them for their invitations. Now they have about 200 :)

Tyson and Miles Turn ONE!

Tyson and Miles are my beautiful and handsome twin nephews. Twins run abundantly in my family. Rona and Adam - the boys' parents and my cousins - purchased a new home JUST in time to celebrate their very first birthday! Lots of people attended and I HAD to shoot friends and family I rarely see. There were attendants from all over Western Washington. Adam's from the Bay Area, CA, so his family made their multi-annual trip up to celebrate with us.







Like I stated earlier, I don't see them too much much, but when we get together, they know how to PARTY!!!

Rachel and Jaime Engagement Photos :)

Rachel and Jaime came in from California on Friday to spend time with family here in the Pacific Northwest. Since I'm shooting their wedding on 07/07/07, we decided to shoot their engagement photos while they were up here. We went to Redondo in Federal Way yesterday and it was AWESOME!!! With the water, private gazebo and blossoming roses (well, in the spring), I have a new place to shoot portraits :)

They're on a plane back to the Bay Area right now, but had a quick opportunity to check out their images online. YOU CAN TOO :)

We were supposed to shoot their engagement photos a couple weeks ago when I went down to Seaside, California, but because of my tight schedule, that fell through. We ALMOST weren't able to shoot yesterday because of the gloomy weather, but the rain held off and I busted out the Nikons for fun engagement shoot!

Rachel and Jaime are GREAT in front of the camera and both were fun to shoot. They take instruction constructively and that made this an awesome experience. We are going to have SO much fun shooting their wedding in California next Summer.

Rose's Album is Complete!!!

Phew!!! They’re wedding was a week ago and I’m still exhausted from shooting SIXTEEN HOURS!!! It was well worth it though! We captured many BEAUTIFUL images. Everything about the wedding was amazing.

ALBUM DESIGN is a service I provide to my customers. Believe me, it takes a lot to build albums and frankly not everyone has that time to do so – that’s why not every photographer does it. I DO!!! I LOVE IT!!! It gives me an opportunity to present the photos uniquely and professionally. As a photographer, it’s not only my privedge but my RESPONSIBILITY to provide a product that my customers can cherish and share proudly for the rest of their lives!

I JUST finished ROSE AND DENNIS' album. Remember, this is a rough draft and Rose has the final say before this goes off to the printing presses.

Getting Ready at Expo Salon

As promised, here are some "getting ready" images from the Expo Beauty Salon. I met Rose here at 7:30 yesterday morning. Some say it was early, but I thought it was well worth it. I shot hundreds of images at this location and it was a great starter to the day's events. At the end of it all, MOSES and LINDSEY had shot 16 folders-worth of images!!! That's insane for us, but GREAT for Rose and Dennis -- I've already started processing some of them and they look AMAZING!!! Amazing bride... Amazing venue(s)... AMAZING WEDDING!!!

Rose and Dennis

Rose and Dennis are a local couple and are getting married in September. Moses and I shot their engagement session on Sunday. They were great! Very open-minded to our ideas, what to shoot and the like. They made it really easy for Lindsey to pose them. What a beautiful couple!

I can't wait to shoot their wedding at Sunset Hill Park in North Seattle and The Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Downtown Seattle -- both beautiful locations for portraits!
