Rey and Putheavy (Cont.)

LINDSEY and I met with PUTHEAVY and REY again last night for happy hour at Stanford's Restaurant and let me tell you -- they are hilarious together!!! It was originally scheduled as a "business" meeting (I'm shooting their wedding in September), but the business part lasted all but about 5 minutes. The rest was just fun. Since I didn't post any photos of them a few weeks ago, I'll post some up here.

For the most part, Rey was watching Kobe and the Laker game on the big screen behind me and this is pretty much the best photo of him from the night.

These two are so much in love. I can't wait to shoot their wedding in September.

Oh yeah, and Rey made sure that we didn't leave without a shot of the rock that HE bought her. It's HUGE!!!

Also, I got a chance to talk to her sister, CHANNY. She's pretty much planning the wedding for Putheavy has some great wedding ideas. Her, herself is getting married in about five years, so everything she's doing now is more or less an audition for hers. She's so excited too :) I can't wait to meet her in person...

Roma and Obet's Album Design

First off, I wanted to express thanks to LINDSEY for all of her beautiful work on the following album and those in the past. SHE is the primary reason I can process, produce and post my photos/slideshows/albums in a timely fashion -- ALL within ONE week... How many wedding photogs do you know who can do that? Lindsey produced ALL but one spread on the following album. She is artistically and grahically amazing! Once I showed her the designing "basics", she's taken it to an all new level -- her own level. Check out more stuff HERE (www.lindseyscreations.blogspot.com) .

So, here it is, as promised... Roma and Obet's album design. This is just a rough draft and has not gone to the presses, but is so amazing I wanted to share it with the world. Lindsey and I shot their small, intimate wedding on Saturday and only five days later have an album online. Amazing!

Roma was a beautiful bride. You better believe you'll be seeing her alot in my ever-growing portfolio. Obet, you're a lucky man!

Everything about their wedding was beautiful -- the colors, the music, the decorations -- EVERYTHING!

Thank you Roma and Obet for allowing us to shoot it. Your friends and family are amazing!

Here are some snapshots of the album full-spread pages:

Roma and Obet

As promised, I've finished a quick slideshow of MY favorite images from Roma and Obet's wedding on Saturday. It was a small and intimate one, making it VERY emotional... Just how a wedding's supposed to be :)

Roma asked me to shoot her wedding a year ago when they became engaged, but that year went by sooooooooooo fast! Next thing we knew, the wedding was ONE week away. Their wedding colors were beautiful and their home was nicely decorated for the occasion.

Congratulations once again to Roma and Obet!!!

Here are a few snapshots of the slideshow (Click the LINK below to check out the full show):

TREO 700wx

I just received a new phone from Sprint and I love it! I ordered it online last Wednesday -- my order was processed, shiped and received all in two days. It was sent via UPS and arrived on my doorstep on Friday afternoon... ALL THE WAY FROM KANSAS!!! It's a Palm Treo 700wx.

I was a little reluctant because I had had my mobile service, number and grand-fathered "first-incoming-minute-free" service from T-Mobile for the longest time -- since about 1999. When you're with something (anything) for that long, you tend to get attached and neglect to see and switch to better alternatives as they come and go. But let me tell you, I'm glad I switched...

This phone does EVERYTHING!!! Besides they typical send/receive phone calls, text messaging, blah blah blah, I can check my email(s) on it, browse the WWW and even sync my calendars, contacts and to-do lists on it too! It's awesome!!! I'm in front of a computer a majority of the day and, though the mini full QWERTY keyboard is beautiful, a full-sized keyboard is easier to type with. So, instead of searching and entering and saving and blah blah blah, I can just go to my desktop (or laptop) and type in my info throughout the day, plug that little bad boy in and sync it within seconds (literally, seconds!).

The learning curve is fast and it's very intuitive... I've cracked my "User's Guide" open only a couple times and that was only to "ooooh" and "ahhhh" over all of the features I've YET to explore :)

Like I said, I've only had it for a weekend, but that weekend has been the funnest mobile-phone experience yet :) I'll let you know if that changes LOL!!! (though I doubt it).

It's going to help me alot to organize all of my booking and wedding photography management, etc.

If you or anyone you know is getting married and need a photographer, I appreciate the referal!

Shoot, just call me anyway because I love to use this little machine hehehehe

Here are some images of my new toy. Call me (if you look closely, you'll see my number in one of the images):

p.s. Lindsey got the Palm OS version. Though it seems alot easier to use, mine is still cooler :p

Regis Hairstylists

I shot my bride yesterday at the Northgate Mall Regis Hair Salon (check them out by clicking HERE) and the stylists were AWESOME! They didn't mind my camera in their faces and were cooperative all morning long. Here's a little teaser to this weekend's wedding :)

Putheavy and Rey (cont.)

Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention that Putheavy was looking for a vendor to produce her invitations/RSVP cards, so LINDSEY took initiative to create a sample of their Sept. 2nd wedding invitations from the photo on THEIRspace:

Putheavy and Rey

I had the awesome opportunity to meet up with a now-current-but-was-a-potential-at-the-time customer. PUTHEAVY and REY are getting married September 2nd (yes, ANOTHER Labor Day weekend WEDDING) and have hired me as their wedding photographer. LINDSEY and I can't wait!!!

Here they are (btw, these images are from their joint
MYSPACE account):

I'd been talking to and going back-and-forth with Rey for about a week about a custom package for their wedding and he finally agreed to meet. Since Rey works at Microsoft in Redmond and Putheavy works at a bank near Everett, it was a bit of a challenge to coordinate our schedules. We decided on meeting during Happy Hour at NEWPORT BAY - my FAVORITE Happy Hour venue :) We spent almost three hours talking about ALL of my services and what they want and expect from a photographer. They've been visiting my websites continuously and I showed them some more of my work at the restaurant. They loved my portfolio! AND, they've booked a package consisting of ALL my services... WOW!!!

I know that planning weddings is a daunting task. The most important thing for me, as a photographer, is to make sure I have everything in line so that, not only my photography, but the whole production is seemless. To them, it'll be worry-free :)
Their day begins at about 8am with a traditional Chinese wedding, consisting of Rey and all of his family arriving at Putheavy's home, armed with gifts for them. There, Putheavy's family will cook an abundance of food, welcome them all (and of course the gifts too, hehehehe) Then they'll pray, perform a traditional tea ceremony and prepare to head to the reception. This all has to happen BEFORE 11am!
After that, we'll spend some alone time at a remote outdoor location of their choice for the portraits. They're still narrowing down the exact location(s) as there's a plethora of potential shooting locations in, around and between the Everett-Seattle metro area.
Then, we'll be off to CHINA HARBOR where 250+ guests will be celebrating the newlyweds at their reception.

Before they met with us, they'd been looking high and low for their photographer. No need to look any more -- I think we'll be a perfect fit. Plus they are an awesome and fun couple! I can't wait!
(Look out for their engagement photos in the upcoming months)
If you or anyone you know is getting married and are still waiting for to book a photographer, the wait has ended. We still have a few weddings unbooked for 2007 -- book us while you can... I appreciate your referal.
Have a great week!

These three are all celebrating their birthdays in March. Can you tell which ones are twins?

We had alot of fun running around and capturing these moments in their home and on the playground. They have SOOOOOOOO much energy...

It's amazing how fast kids grow. Just a year ago, they were just crawling... Now, they're running at semi-full speed. LOL! We ALL got a workout :)

Anyway, check out their photos by clicking HERE (or here: www.asencilimaging.com/xmaxd)

Let me know what you think!

Have a great week!
