Pictures of Baby Jasmine

I just got done processing the RAW files of Baby Jasmine! I'm so excited because they turned out great... She's a MODEL already!!! Mom and dad are doing just fine! Oh yeah, she weighs 7lb, 1oz.

Well, as promised, here are some pics of the new beauty and her proud parents.

And here are the PROUD parents, Janet and Jaime (image captured BEFORE Jasmine was born)

I tried to sneak in a pic of the three while Janet was laid up in bed, but she refused! It's okay, there'll be alot more opportunities in the future.

Until then check out more pics of the new baby and family (a small portion of her HUGE family) HERE.

Stay tuned for more images of this family. They'll be coming in the near future!

Welcome to the World, Baby Jasmine!!!

So, I wanted to post a message to you that Jasmine is on her way, but she wanted out and wasn't waiting any longer. Unless you were in the delivery room, YOU HEARD IT HEAR FIRST!!!

Janet and Jaime are now the proud parents of a beautiful and healthy baby girl. Jasmine was born this afternoon at 12:53 pm (less than an hour ago). She's still nursing as I'm posting this, so I haven't received her official measurements.

Mom and dad are a little anxious about their new addition (TOTALLY understandable), but they are doing just fine, nonetheless.

I'm heading over to the hospital in a couple of hours and once I'm able to shoot some model shots of Jasmine, I'll post them here... Keep coming back to check it out!

Cellar Door at the U-District Street Fair

I've been doing alot of work with the local band, Cellar Door, thanks to their manager, Leroy Mack. It's amazing how much ONE person could know about so many different things. He's also an awesome manager. He knows SO many people in and around the area his bands play the most. We were walking around the crowded University of Washington Street Fair -- CLICK HERE for more information about this great cultural event -- and everywhere he turned, people were saying "Hi" and shaking his hand. He radiates such a positive vibe!!! And you know what? He didn't have to make any phone calls to get his band to play at Tommy's... THEY CALLED HIM!!! If you or someone you know needs a manager for modeling or music, check out LEROY'S myspace page.

I'll get some pictures of the band up tonight. Stay tuned...

Slideshow

If you're looking for the slideshow link for Cellar Door in my post below, I had to remove it for the time being. I found an error in the script. It's a quick fix, but I won't be able to do it until I get to the editing booth tonight. You're still able to view the images. Enjoy!!! Thanks for the feedback!

Cellar Door

I had the opportunity to shoot an awesome local band yesterday named "Cellar Door". I met them at one of their shows at Tommy's Nightclub in the University of Washington district early in April. They liked my images and a week later, their manager call me for "formal" photoshoot. Let me tell you, It was far from formal...

So, we scheduled to meet at Kai's Bistro and Lounge (also in the U-district) during closed hours. Kenji, the lead singer is the head bartender there, so we had an almost unrestricted amount of time to get the images we wanted. Kai's was awesome. We were all over the place and I was able to get all the angles I wanted -- I was standing on bar stools and lying on the ground -- They even had a hideaway storage loft (more like a crawlspace) upstairs that we used. I was able to meander through to get a birds-eye view of the band. It was great!

These guys are so laid back and inclusive. It's cool when you go to shoot and your subject (in this case, subjectS) provides feedback and engages in composing the types of poses, backgrounds, etc. It makes my job ALOT easier -- especially considering my partner wasn't there to do all the posing. Really, all I had to do was point and shoot!

I'll post some images when I get to my digital "sanctuary" -- I'm almost done with them. Keep checking back here for updates. Until them, CLICK HERE to check out Cellar Door's music and official website (and A. Sencil images too).

May 5th!!!

I received this in an email this morning. It's hilarious!!! One person's rendition of Cinco de Mayo -- Thanks Milissa!

Most people don't know that back in 1912, Hellmann's mayonaise was manufactured in England.
In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico,
which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York. This would have been the largest single shipment of mayonnaise ever delivered to Mexico.
But as we know, the great ship did not make it to New York.
The ship hit an iceberg and sank, and the cargo was forever lost. The people of Mexico, who were crazy about mayonnaise,
and were eagerly awaiting its delivery, were disconsolate at the loss.
Their anguish was so great, that they declared a National Day of Mourning, which they still observe to this day.The National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5th and is known, of course,
as
Sinko de Mayo.WHAT!!!! You expected something educational from me!

LOL'ing!!! That's awesome!!!

Do you know the importance of Cinco de Mayo? Post a comment here to share...

Wow, this is kind of a new thing for me. I'm generally a quiet individual.
